SAP’s Strategic Roadmap of the Business Suite – implications of BTP and the dire need for robust access policies & procedures
Policies and procedures will become the cornerstone of every SAP Ecosystem, particularly in the context of SAP’s Business Suite announcement, as well as its roadmap of unifying entry points for end users across various applications, including non-SAP systems via a BTP (Business Technology Platform). A complex hybrid landscape, requires robust policies securing compliance by controlling access to sensitive data and applications, thereby reducing the risk of data breaches and adhering to regulations. An agile policy should act as enabler for agile decision-making, enabling effective access management across various systems and services. By mitigating risks, streamlining processes, and facilitating change management, policies enhance operational efficiency and accountability within business - fostering collaboration among teams by establishing clear responsibilities and expectations.
