We are pleased to announce that EY has been promoted from Quality Partner to Premium Partner in SAPSA. For the network this means an expanded presence from a partner looking to actively engage more in the association's activities and forums.

According to Carl Nordbeck, SAP Practice Leader at EY Sweden, the company sees a clear shift in where many SAP users are today.
– Many SAP users have soon completed the technical phases of their S/4 journeys. They have acquired the technical foundation to truly implement their business improvements. Now they face the question of how to realise these in the best possible way.
It is at this stage that EY wants to contribute more within SAPSA. Once the technical migration is completed, new questions arise – not about system choice, but about how investments are actually translated into impact for the business.
– How can you create significant value going forward after investing in upgrading your platforms?
This question reflects a broader discussion many member companies are facing. As more organisations have their S/4 environments in place, the focus shifts towards how the systems are used in practice, how processes develop, and how the interaction between IT and the business functions over time.
As a global player in the SAP market, EY has experience from various industries and markets, which can provide additional perspectives in the conversations taking place within the network.
One issue EY particularly wants to highlight in SAPSA going forward is how the discussion can shift from technology to business value.
– How do you achieve business value so that the conversation is not just about technology? A migration is a migration and is of course complex in itself, but fundamentally it is about technology. The bigger question is how to make the best use of SAP. You can't build a Porsche and then drive it like a learner driver’s car. For all users, it ultimately comes down to how profitability can be increased, whether in monetary terms or related to business operations. How can you become more efficient?
This could involve meeting new regulations, handling changed trading conditions, or streamlining internal processes. For many organisations, the balance between IT and business becomes a central issue – how systems can support the business rather than just function technically.
Through its expanded involvement, EY wants to contribute to these conversations within SAPSA, in collaboration with other members and partners.
As a Premium Partner, EY also wants to take a more active role in SAPSA's various forums. Today, representatives from EY participate in and lead the focus groups for GRC and ALM, and the company plans to engage more broadly going forward.
– We are really looking forward to participating in the various focus groups. We are involved in driving the work in some of them, and in several others we will take a more active part going forward. We have a lot to contribute, but also to learn from others.
EY will also continue its engagement in SAPSA IMPULS and looks forward to the spring conference in Gothenburg on 14 April. Hope to see you there! Register for IMPULS Gothenburg here.
